No change to collection schedule: As Christmas and New Year’s Day both fall on Sundays, your regular pick-up day will not change due to the holidays.
Help us close the loop and return your holiday tree to the earth as mulch or compost.
Holiday tree collection tips:
- Place your tree in your yard waste cart or curbside on your regular pick-up day December 26 through the month of January.
- Trees must be cut into lengths of 3 feet or smaller.
- Remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, nails, and tree stands. Green trees only, flocked trees will not be accepted for collection.
Community drop-off available December 26 through January 16:
- Carmel-by-the-Sea - Forest Theater (on Mountain View near Guadalupe)
- King City - Jolon Rd Transfer Station (52654 Jolon Rd)
- Pebble Beach - Corporation Yard (4005 Sunridge)
- Salinas - Salinas Transfer Station (1120 Madison Lane)
- Seaside - across from the Post Office (at Olympia and Terrace)
